Ed Rivet vs. Kevon Martis: Renewables Imposter at Work

By Robert Bradley Jr. -- June 2, 2021

Ed. note: In a Facebook post last week, Kevon Martis responded forcefully to the strong insinuation that he was a disingenuous troublemaker against economic progress. Fake conservatives such as Mr. Revit, pushing for bigger government and land degradation in the name of ‘green’ energy and climate ‘stabilization’, should not pretend to be what they are not.

“I am prepared to debate you in a public forum on any matter of renewable energy from energy policy to land use. And unlike you, I will do it on my own dime rather than at the expense of Michigan ratepayers….” (Kevon Martis, below)

To all my conservative legislator friends, feel free to tell Michigan Conservative Energy Forum’s (MCEF) Ed Rivet that Kevon Martis says “SAY MY NAME!” instead of using such terms as “professional agitators” (12:25); “the noisy squeaky wheel” (12:35); those who “spread a lot of false information or misinformation” (12:40); “NIMBYs and naysayers” (15:50).

This video is nothing more than a thinly-disguised hit piece against me for the past 12 years in which I have donated my time and energy in support of communities being harmed by bad renewable energy policy like PA 116.

Let’s be clear: Ed Rivet and MCEF are paid by DTE, APEX, Invenergy and a host of dark energy interests including many extreme leftist groups. But in spite of this leftist funding, Ed pretends to be a conservative advocate for free markets.

Isaac Orr has exposed the various CEF’s disturbing Leftist ties at the Center for the American Experiment.

Let us also be clear: I am not funded by any special interest.

Remember: there is a word for someone who pretends to be something he is not, and that word is fraud.

Again, Ed, say my name instead of hiding behind weasel words, crude insinuations and lies.

If you believe I am a liar, it should be easy to demonstrate that publicly. I am prepared to debate you in a public forum on any matter of renewable energy from energy policy to land use. And unlike you, I will do it on my own dime rather than at the expense of Michigan ratepayers.

Do you have what it takes? And can you decide on your own or do you have to get permission from DTE?

The fine folks I have tagged below know that I am a man of integrity and have worked hard to support truly conservative energy and land use policy. It is offensive to be characterized as anything else, particularly by someone who takes the name of conservative #shameful
