American Products. American Power. (new website on petroleum’s consumer bounty)
The American Energy Alliance (AEA) and the Institute for Energy Research (IER) have created a new platform, American Products. American Power. to educate the nation about the critical role that energy plays for our economy and in our daily lives.
IER is an educational non-profit under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code; AEA is an advocacy non-profit under Section 501(c)(4) of the code. I am founder and CEO of IER.
Here is the website’s introduction to the new initiative:
Welcome to American Products. American Power. If you shaved today, brushed your teeth, or are reading this on a computer, you already know us.
You also probably know that energy makes it possible to heat our homes, cook our food, and fill our gas tanks, but it does much more. Energy protects our troops and keeps our firefighters and police officers safe. Energy from oil, natural gas, and coal is responsible for hundreds and hundreds of everyday products. Coal provides the affordable energy that powers our factories and the raw materials used to make hundreds and hundreds of products we use every day are derived from oil and natural gas.
American Products. American Power. highlights these important facts and challenges Washington to open the doors to economic growth by encouraging the production of our vast domestic energy resources and ensuring that the regulatory system adopts reasonable, thoughtful approaches that better balance costs and benefits.
It’s time to move America forward. Join the conversation at American Products. American Power.
American Products. American Power. educates Americans on the importance of domestic energy production and the hundreds and hundreds of products that are made with American power. Our goal is to not only create awareness, but also mobilize Americans against regulation that fail to properly balance the costs and the benefits, thereby stifling innovation and economic growth.
The costs of regulations are factored into the products we buy everyday. As regulations become more and more burdensome on businesses, the more expensive our products become. From high tech electronics, such as smartphones, to grocery store purchases like deodorant, the cost of regulations are passed on to us, the consumer.
We invite you to visit our facts page, videos section and infographics area to see how your life is made easier with American Products. American Power.
MasterResource was named for the fact that energy is the master resource, as termed by the late Julian Simon. American Products. American Power. elucidates the resource of resources on the demand side, which brings to bear the fact that abundant, affordable, reliable energy makes all the difference. This is where good public policy comes in, with private property and free markets offering the performance that consumers demand.
