I is worth noting I think, for instance, that, while the US has seen an overall increase in precipitation and streamflow, that maximum streamflow has increased little, and there is no significant (a statistically insignificant negative trend) in adjusted flood damage data (even though "heavy" rains have supposedly increased the most-something I know some of the folks here have discussed before!)
