[...] (3) Threat Multiplier. The global warming movement’s top priority is to stop construction of new coal-fired power plants in order to reduce global emissions 50% or more by 2050. Yet, banning new coal plants in developing countries could condemn large segments of humanity – the 1.6 billion people who have never flipped a light switch – to decades of deadly energy poverty (as I discuss here and here).
William, have you asked yourself what do you consider "good scientific evidence"? Or rather, what type of evidence would you require in order to be convinced?

Personally, I don't think there's any lack of evidence. I am not a climatologist myself and do not have the time or the means to personally conduct an scientific experiment, so at some point I feel I have to trust the expertise of those who are considered authorities on the subject.

At this point, I feel like there is enough evidence (and consensus in the scientific community) to claim that global warming is man made and that c02 is a greenhouse gas.

If you're really interested in the science behind global warming, I'd say the IPCC website is a good place to start reading.

I am not ready to agree that there is any GOOD scientific evidence that carbon dioxide causes any global heating. By
scientific I mean the process lessons to be learned from Bacon,
Galileo and Popper.

Before we get all wrapped around the cap and trade axle why don't we get an independent analysis group to determine how much global heating , if any, is actally caused by green house gases??
